Saxon Lifts was formed in November 1988 by three
qualified directors, with experience in Sales, Design
and Production, together with a small number of key
personnel, to form a nucleus of staff with the energy
and commitment to succeed.
From the start a professional approach was taken
in terms of marketing, design, manufacture and record
keeping.
Saxon Scissor Lifts is Sales driven, setting agreed
targets, which generally have been achieved or bettered.
The directors, management and staff of Saxon Scissor
Lifts are fully committed to providing our clients
with the best design and utmost safety of powered
lifting equipment, special purpose mechanical handling
equipment, stage lifts and theme park rides all designed,
manufactured and installed in compliance with the
CE machinery directive and all other applicable international
standards in full accord with ISO 9001 quality assurance,
to provide safe, stable, well engineered, manufactured
and installed equipment, that will ensure low cost
of ownership, supported by our maintenance and service
facilities throughout the UK and Europe, Hong Kong
and south east Asia.
Saxon is now operating the European headquarters
from a new larger manufacturing site which the company
has purchased at Whilton Locks, Northamptonshire,
UK.
From the beginning, Saxon has won orders and contracts
from blue chip customers, in the European and Asian
markets, all of which have been brought to successful
conclusions. The company's reputation has largely
been built on the design and manufacture of be-spoke
equipment to meet specific requirements.
By 2003-2004 Saxon has expanded to its present staff
of over 40 key personnel, continually increasing its
experience in the design, manufacture and installation
of complex lifting and handling solutions. The knowledge
gained has now been built upon to the extent that
Saxon is now recognized as a leading authority in
the field of Global Engineering and able to operate
anywhere in the world.
In a new venture, Saxon Scissor Lifts was
formed in Hong Kong during 2002 in response to the
increasing demand for our products and services in
the wider South East Asia region. Since its inception
Saxon Scissor Lifts has won major contracts to supply
Latest Technology equipment to the governments of
Hong Kong, South Korea and Malaysia, in addition to
supplying Saxon Lifts products to the general market
place.
